The
European Securities and Markets Authority has published its report on the development of the
Best Practice Principles for Providers of Shareholder Voting Research and Analysis: see
here. ESMA reached the following findings in its report: the Principles generally meet ESMA's expectation; there is, as a result, greater transparency; and the group that produced the Principles would benefit from better governance and further clarity over what monitoring it performs.
