The Act contains, amongst other things, some of the provisions necessary to introduce the new regime for shareholder approval of quoted company directors' remuneration. UK: Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Bill - update
The Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Bill 2012-2013 received its third reading in the House of Commons on Wednesday and now proceeds to the House of Lords: see here. The Bill contains, amongst other things, provisions concerning directors' remuneration including the proposed binding shareholder vote on remuneration policy.

UK: The Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Bill
The Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Bill completed the Committee Stage in the House of Commons this week and now proceeds to the Report Stage. There were two sittings on the final day of the Committee's meeting, recorded in Hansard, the official record of Parliamentary proceedings, here and here. On the final day the Committee considered amendments to the Bill regarding directors' remuneration. A copy of the Bill, reflecting the Committee Stage amendments, is available here (pdf). Clauses 61 to 64 concern remuneration and remuneration policy.

UK: Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Bill 2012
The Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Bill 2012 was introduced in the House of Commons yesterday and received its First Reading: see here. A copy of the Bill is available here (html) and here (pdf). Explanatory notes are available here (html) and here (pdf). With regard to directors' remuneration, the Bill is, at present, rather limited. This is because, as the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills announced yesterday (see here), the Government "aims to bring forward further detail ... later in the legislative process".
