UK: Dept of Health consults on 'fit and proper' requirement for directors of health and care providers
The Department of Health last week published a consultation paper titled Strengthening corporate accountability in health and social care: see here (pdf). The paper sets out a proposal to amend the Care Quality Commission registration requirements in order to impose a duty on health service providers to ensure that their directors are 'fit and proper'.
