The Prospectus Regulations 2012 were made yesterday, laid before Parliament today and come into force on 1 July 2012. A copy of the Regulations is available here (pdf) and an explanatory memorandum is included at the end of this document. The purpose of the Regulations is to amend provisions in the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 in order to implement, in part, Directive 2010/73/EU.
