Vietnam: launch of the Corporate Governance Code of Best Practices

It's almost three years since I posted a note to say that the International Finance Corporation, part of the World Bank Group, was working with the State Securities Commission in Vietnam to develop a corporate governance code. That code has now been published, according to a tweet from the IFC (although I have yet to locate a copy online*):

IFC and BRVM to develop corporate governance code

The International Finance Corporation, part of the World Bank Group, has published details of its partnership with the Bourse Régionale des Valeurs Mobilières (BRVM; the West Africa Regional Stock Exchange) one of the aims of which is to help BRVM develop and introduce a corporate governance code: see here.

Vietnam: The development of a corporate governance code

The International Finance Corporation, part of the World Bank Group, has published details of the work it is doing with the State Securities Commission in Vietnam to develop a corporate governance code: see here. The new code is expected to be launched by mid 2017.

Stock exchange corporate governance indices

The International Finance Corporation, a member of the World Bank Group, has published a paper reviewing the different approaches used by stock exchanges in building indices including corporate governance: see here (pdf). Indices in the following countries are considered: Brazil, Italy, Peru, South Korea, China, Mexico, South Africa and Turkey.

The IFC Family Business Governance Handbook

The IFC has published online a copy of its Family Business Governance Handbook. The Handbook identifies the governance issues that arise in family businesses and suggests ways in which these can be addressed.
