The
Government published a consultation paper today seeking views on the content of new regulations that will require employers with at least 250 employees to publish information about the pay of their male and female employees: see
here (
pdf). The power to create these regulations is found in
Section 78 ("Gender pay gap information") of the
Equality Act 2010. Views are being sought on, amongst other things, how best to present gender pay gap information; the frequency of publication; and where the information should be published.
