UK: the Open-Ended Investment Companies (Amendment) Regulations 2011
A draft of the Open-Ended Investment Companies (Amendment) Regulations 2011 was laid before Parliament earlier this week: see here or here (pdf). Accompanying the publication of the draft Regulations is an explanatory memorandum here (pdf) and an impact assessment (here, pdf). The purpose of the Regulations is to introduce a protected cell regime for open ended investment companies in order to ensure the segregation of liabilities of different sub funds held under the same OEIC umbrella company.
