The UK's
Financial Times newspaper has
reported (online, 25 August), that "Female directors earn smaller performance-related bonuses than male counterparts, according to a new study that says the disparity reflects sexist attitudes. Researchers at Exeter university found that male executive directors in the best-performing companies were paid bonuses 263 per cent bigger than those working for the worst performers. For female directors the difference is a mere 4 per cent".
