
A little over a year ago, the Government directed the
Prudential Regulation Authority to undertake a review of the supervision of the
Co-operative Bank between 2008 and 2013: see

Mark Zelmer, a former Deputy Superintendent of the
Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions in Canada, was appointed to complete the review. The findings of that review, which makes recommendations for the
Bank of England and the
Prudential Regulation Authority designed to enhance the current supervisory regime, were published today by
