A copy of the Higher Education Governance (Scotland) Act 2016, which was passed by the Scottish Parliament in March and received Royal Assent in April, has been published: see here or here (pdf).
The Act contains, amongst other things, provisions about the composition of, and appointments to, the governing bodies of higher education institutions in Scotland. The Scottish Government has prepared explanatory notes to accompany the Act: see here or here (pdf).
