The
Canadian Securities Administrators have published a progress report in respect of their review of the proxy voting infrastructure: see

pdf). According to the report, the current proxy voting infrastructure is antiquated and fragmented and needs to be improved. Various improvements are identified and the report recommends that all entities playing a role in vote reconciliation should assess their meeting vote reconciliation processes to identify and implement any immediate steps to improve the accuracy and reliability of vote reconciliation.
