The
Government has published the reforms it proposes to make in respect of company filing requirements, following a consultation last year: see
here (
pdf). On proposal concerns the registers that private companies must currently keep. The Government is proposing to give such companies the option of not keeping any (or all) of the following registers: the register of directors; directors’ residential addresses; secretaries; members; and the
proposed register of beneficial ownership. If this right is exercised, the information currently required must be kept up to date on the company's public register.
