Europe: Directive on the criminal sanctions for market abuse - European Parliament approval

Earlier this week the European Parliament approved the Commission's proposed Directive on the criminal sanctions for market abuse: see here.  The text of the Directive is available here. It is expected that the Directive will be published in the Official Journal in June this year, after which Member States have two years within which to implement it through national law.
