The Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, Dr D. Subbarao, delivered a speech today in which he reflected on the structure of the banking industry in India: see here. His speech comes a few days before the Reserve Bank is due to publish its much anticipated discussion paper on the structure of banking in India.
