The European Securities and Markets Authority has published its first report on trends, risks and vulnerabilities in European Union securities markets: see here (pdf). Amongst other things, the report notes that activity on European trading venues decreased in 2012, dropping below the five year average, and liquidity risk remains a source of concern especially in the sovereign
bond market.
