FSB proposals for oversight and regulation of shadow banking

The Financial Stability Board yesterday published for consultation its proposals concerning the regulation and oversight of the shadow banking sector. The proposals are outlined in three consultation papers (each in pdf): an overview; shadow banking entities; and securities lending and repos. The FSB also published its second annual global shadow banking monitoring report: see here (pdf).
