Singapore: first reading for the Securities and Futures (Amendment) Bill

The Securities and Futures (Amendment) Bill was read for a first time last week in Parliament. A copy of the Bill, including explanatory notes, is available here (pdf). The purpose of the Bill is, amongst other things, is to introduce new frameworks for the regulation of trade repositories, clearing facilities and derivatives.
