UK: BSI publishes draft governance standard
The British Standards Institution has published for comment a draft of a new standard: BS 13500, Code of practice for delivering effective governance. According to the BSI, the purpose of the standard is to give "recommendations and guidance for the effective delivery of governance. It is applicable to all organizations and is intended to promote a framework for effective governance that encompasses system, control, direction and accountability".
