Hector Sants, the chief executive of the soon to be disbanded
Financial Services Authority, has given an interview to the BBC's Business Editor,
Robert Peston: see
here. Mr Sants will
leave the FSA at the end of this month and in his interview he reflects on past decisions of financial regulators as well as the future. He states, for example, that the personal responsibilities of the
Governor of the
Bank of England will be excessive under the
Government's proposed new financial regulatory framework.
