The Hutton Review of Fair Pay in the Public Sector, commissioned by the Government, published its report today: see here (pdf). Whilst focussing on the public sector, the report is relevant in the private sector, not least because it is argued that the proposed Fair Pay Code should apply to private sector companies which are major suppliers to the public sector. The report also recommends that the Government should improve corporate reporting by requiring all quoted companies to publish, monitor and explain their pay multiples.Tuesday, 15 March 2011
